You are advised to check into your accommodation
before registering at the Ayr Racecourse Conference
Centre (Princess Royal Conference Centre).
What
is the temperature likely to be in September?
In September, the southern part of Scotland
is generally warm, which means you could walk around
without a heavy overcoat, though you might expect some
rain. Check
before you leave.
Where
is the conference taking place?
The conference venue is the Ayr Racecourse
Conference Centre (Princess Royal Conference Centre)

Where
can I obtain British currency (UK pound)?
You are advised to obtain currency in your
home country. Alternatively, you will find currency
exchange kiosks at both Glasgow International Airport
and Glasgow-Prestwick International Airport. You will
NOT find any currency exchange bureau at the train station
in Ayr. Currency
converter.
Do
I need to submit my full manuscript before the conference?
Full manuscripts are only requested where you have indicated
an interest to publish your paper in either the special
journal edition of Cultural Politics or for an edited
volume, currently in negotiation. Otherwise, it is not
necessary.In any case, we have extended the deadline
on drafts until after the conference, to allow you time
to modify based on feedback you receive at the meeting.
The new deadline is 30 September, 2005.
Are
there subsidised places for delegates from emerging
nations?
Some places are available, though these are limited.
